Q: What is an Abdominal & womb work session?

These sessions are an opportunity to invite deeper understanding and connection to our bodies. My experience comes from the Maya ancestral healing teachings & techniques, which have been applied for centuries to support individuals on their healing journeys. A session can offer to bring balance to one’s pelvic and abdominal areas that may be in misalignment, while addressing tension, sensitivity, and often times a guarded body space. The bodywork is gentle, and takes a respectful approach following the permission and response to your body which will guide the depth and direction of the session. Releasing physical and emotional tension within the tissues can be uncomfortable and intense at times. I take much responsibility in attending to your experience by witnessing your points of release through breath, body movement, verbal cues, and emotions. We work together to bring physical, energetic, and emotional balance back to the body.

Q: Can someone who has had a Hysterectomy benefit From A Maya Abdominal massage & Womb Work?

Yes! Women who have had hysterectomies benefit greatly from Maya Abdominal Massage/womb work. The technique improves circulation in and around the area of the scar and allows for proper flow of the lymph, which often becomes blocked after surgery, resulting in swelling, burning and deep aching pains in the pelvis. By using womb massage techniques on a regular basis, scar tissue will be prevented from forming or reduced in the pelvis after surgery. Ligaments and other remaining organs are benefited from improving circulatory flow to the pelvis.

Q: Can I incorporate abdominal & womb work while undergoing IUI/IVF?

Absolutely! Abdominal & Womb work along with herbal yoni steams highly compliment IVF & IUI. Schedule a session as far in advance before starting IVF/IUI and up to a few days before the transfer. Do not schedule a session or steam after the transfer or IUI procedure.

Q: How Many Sessions Do I require?

Generally, an individual requires 3 sessions to address certain conditions or emotional tension. Since every body is entirely different, some people will receive sessions over an extended amount of time, while others may only require a few. This will be determined during the initial session and during reassessment follow up sessions.

For women seeking support post birth: the sessions will start the morning after your birth, then a rest day, then a yoni steam followed by another session. This sequence will follow up to 4 times. The work is to cleanse, strengthen and align the abdominal & womb post birth.

Q: How do i prepare before a session?

Once I receive your booking request, pre & post session information will be provided to you via email along with a discovery call to discuss details and give you an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Q: What is a Faja?

A Faja is a long woven fabric created to support the abdominal and pelvic muscles post session. When the Faja is used after birth, it helps contain the uterus and support the organs that are “loose” in that region to recover their tone. I specifically support a women’s practice in the heart of Guatemala that creates them for these specific healing offerings.

Q: What Are the expected feelings post session?

Again, this resorts back to an individuals conditions and emotions. Since we are focusing on a sensitive area that is often guarded, and addressing to realign reproductive and abdominal organs, as well as improve & promote vital circulation towards revitalizing general wellness, a person can feel a bit tired, more relaxed, and centered within their being.

Q: do you offer outcall sessions?

Yes. This offering is for individuals that are seeking post pregnancy care, and for those who are unable to attend my session space. An additional fee is incorporated and discussed once I receive the booking request.

Q: How much do you charge?
